Celebrated chef Sean Brock retreated from a culinary empire in Charleston, South Carolina, to open a restaurant here as an homage to his grandmother. “It’s the restaurant I want to retire in,” says Brock. “I plan to take a minimalistic approach to exploring the future of Southern food while working towards creating a healthier workspace.” The tasting menu’s wine pairings change constantly, and staffers are treated to regular tastings and classes.
