Leave it to a winemaker’s son and a butcher’s daughter to create one of the Central Coast’s most comforting dining experiences. Julien and Courtney Asseo have worked with such iconic chefs as Guy Savoy, Joel Robuchon and Daniel Boulud, and they bring the best of fine dining into a more familial environment. The food is French with a twist: Moules frites come with ‘nduja and garlic confit, and the bouillabaisse is made with rock cod and red shrimp, with tiny balls of fregola sarda pasta. Try the “Trust Us” option, a five-course chef’s choice tasting menu. And Bordeaux fans should ask for the “Lara’s List” wines (trust us).
