A short, smart menu and wine list make this hotspot feel approachable, as does a “Wines, Not Wines” section of fruit wines and mead. The Lucky Accomplice also offers the city’s best brunch. The menu is irreverent without being silly. Radishes and butter are rethought as radish toast with whipped quark and sorrel, while “Eggplant Parmesan” is eggplant dumplings in parmesan milk. For dessert? An upside-down beet cake with beet caramel, paired with a sweet sparkling Brachetto d’Acqui.
