Washington, the No. 2 wine-producing state, is a place where the “eat local” mantra is common. Surrell takes those words to heart with its extensive all-local list. Aaron Tekulve, the owner and chef, worked in some of Seattle’s most exalted restaurants and offers two options: a casual à la carte wine bar, and a tasting menu experience, both of which highlight local ingredients. Surrell also hosts regular tasting events, usually with winemakers present, which makes it a one-stop hub for the Washington wine scene.
