Masi 2018 Brolo Campofiorin Oro (Valpolicella)

Deep and dark in color this wine takes time to develop but you will be well rewarded. The nose is complex and layered with dark plum, black cherry, fresh tobacco, freshly roasted coffee and turned earth. The wine has an amazing symmetry between the fruit notes and the earthy notes on the palate. Rich but not overbearing, the wine is a great example of what adding the historic grape Oseleta can do when paired with the more classic grapes Corvina and Rondinella. Jeff Porter
